AIO Legal Services is led by a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FCILEx) who is an authorised person under the Legal Services Act 2007, and duly empowered to administer oaths, affirmations, and statutory declarations without supervision. This authorisation permits us to certify that declarations in official documents have been signed in the presence of a legally authorised person, and to verify affidavits and attest legal documents for use in court proceedings, legal submissions, and official filings.
We offer a wide range of Commissioner for Oaths services, including but not limited to:
- Administration of oaths and affirmations
- Witnessing and attesting to statutory declarations
- Verification and certification of affidavits and exhibits
- Legal document attestation for cross-border use
Please note that we cannot exercise these functions in any legal proceedings where AIO Legal Services represents one of the parties, in line with regulatory safeguards concerning conflicts of interest.
Limitations and Regulatory Status of AIO Legal Services
While our legal activities are supervised by a qualified solicitor with over 20 years of experience, and our firm is led by a CILEx-authorised lawyer, AIO Legal Services does not conduct reserved legal activities as defined under the Legal Services Act 2007. These reserved activities include rights of audience, conduct of litigation, reserved instrument activities, probate activities, notarial activities, and the administration of oaths in certain proceedings.
We expressly clarify that AIO Legal Services is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). As such, clients engaging our services are not entitled to the protections provided by the SRA Compensation Fund, which exists to compensate individuals who suffer loss due to a regulated firm’s dishonesty, insolvency, or lack of professional indemnity insurance.
However, we maintain full professional indemnity insurance to safeguard the interests of our clients. All legal services delivered by AIO Legal Services are protected under this policy, ensuring that clients continue to receive secure and professional assistance across a wide range of non-reserved legal services.
We shall always inform you in advance if our regulatory status or the limits of our authorisation affect the delivery of your matter. Our commitment to transparency, compliance, and risk disclosure remains unwavering.
